Lower back pain causes depend on the mechanism of an injury. The majority of non-traumatic injuries happen because muscles and ligaments that stabilize ower back do not activate property to provide enough support resulting in a strain of soft tissues. Oftentimes, these lower back injuries result in tightness, weakness and loss of proprioception in core and lower back musculature. Furthermore, this weakness and loss of proprioception increase a chance of re-injury and recurring symptoms.
The main objective of this exercise program is to teach you an effective routine to strengthen core muscles to provide proper stabilization of the lower back. Strengthening exercises are coupled with stretching to reduce tightness. The course also includes balancing exercises to reduce loss in proprioception. This program is designed to provide only efficient and necessary exercises for maximum results without wasting any time.
Stage 1 is a beginner level of the lower back strengthening program. In this course you will learn:
- Proper breathing and core activation
- Introductory lower back strengthening exercise
- Essential lower back stretches
- General postural correction exercises
Your Instructor
I am a Massage Therapist with over ten years of experience. Furthermore, I too suffered multiple lower back injuries in the past. I know how hard and challenging it can be to recover. Most importantly, I created Health In Exercise because I want to help people suffering from pain to live healthy and quality lives.
I’ve spent a vast amount of time researching and trying various exercise approaches. I’ve wanted to develop a proper exercise plan to maintain my lower back. In the end, I have gathered enough knowledge that I want to share to help others find their health and wellness in the exercise regime.
